Thrive
- Sermon By: Ps. Phuti Moyaha (Lead Pastor)
”Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.“ III
John 1:2 NKJV
Life is about the battle of the soul. There are two kingdoms in this world that are fighting over the
souls of man. God said, “Behold, all souls are Mine; The soul of the father As well as the soul of
the son is Mine; The soul who sins shall die.“ Ezekiel 18:4 NKJV. All souls belong to God but
satan is fighting for them. He knows that God said the soul that sins shall die. Therefore, he
wants to take as many souls with him as possible.
In the kingdom of God, when we prosper in life our souls must also prosper. When I am thriving in
business, my soul must also thrive. However, in the kingdom of darkness, Satan wants you to
prosper at the expense of your soul. He does not mind you getting a promotion, as long as you
will no longer have time to pray to God. He does not mind you getting rich, as long as he knows
you will be with him in hell. That is not God’s plan and purpose for our lives.
Jeremiah 29:11 says, “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper
you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.“ NIV. The life God has created us
for is the Zoe life – God kind of life. But Satan wants us to live lives that are lower than what God
planned so that we lose our souls. He uses different methods to traps into living a life where we
are not thriving in all aspects. Therefore, do not fall for satan’s deception this season. God has
declared that we will thrive this season but there are conditions to it.
The Bible says, “…the righteous will thrive like a green leaf.“ Proverbs 11:28 NIV. We must be
righteous and live holy lives. Another condition is that we must be planted in God’s house.
Psalms 92:13 says, “Those who are planted in the house of the Lord Shall flourish in the
courts of our God.“ NKJV. In The Passion Translation, the same scripture says, “You’ve
transplanted them into your heavenly courtyard, where they are thriving before you,“ Psalms
92:13 TPT. Therefore don’t be deceived that you will thrive in isolation. God has planted you in
His house, do not uproot yourself.
